John B. Bauer is an attorney based in the Columbus office, where he handles general consumer collection matters. Previously practicing at a leading global financial institution, Mr. Bauer was tasked with operational risk assessments of collection and default law firms, which included evaluation of compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, as well as contractual client requirements. Mr. Bauer additionally completed three legal internships during his studies at The Ohio State University College of Law, including the Industrial Commission of Ohio, Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio as an Extern to Judge David A. Katz.

While earning his J.D., Mr. Bauer remained active as Associate Editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law, President of the Christian Legal Society, and a participant of the European Law Student Association Moot Court. He also had the opportunity to complete an internship in Paris, France, where he established conversational fluency in French. A graduate of the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, Mr. Bauer balanced his passion for violin with elective studies in pre-law. He is currently a member of the Columbus and American Bar Associations, and is licensed to practice in Ohio.
