Stuart A. Best is a Shareholder in the firm's Detroit office. He practices in the Litigation and Defense Group, which includes matters in consumer finance defense litigation, commercial banking, business, and real property litigation in both Federal and State courts. He is also part of the integrated Real Estate Default Group, and handles complex legal foreclosure and title issues, as well as state law foreclosure compliance.

Mr. Best has a wealth of federal and state court experience, and has handled many cases involving real estate, real estate title issues, landlord-tenant, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Michigan Collection Practices Act defense, Michigan Lemon Law defense, insurance subrogation and recoupment. Over the course of his career, he has also assisted clients with issues involving residential and commercial real estate/development, commercial leasing, landlord-tenant law, tax, administrative law, licensing, estate planning, and liquor commission issues and rezoning.
