Eileen M. Bitterman is a Shareholder and the firm's Compliance Officer, responsible for managing the Compliance Audit Department, Client Services Unit and the Compliance Management System Steering Committee. The Compliance Audit Department and Client Services Unit partner with the firm's business units to oversee internal and client audit efforts, the development and review of policies and procedures, tracking and reporting tools, the document review program, client agreements, complaint analysis and response, employee compliance training, and litigation defense strategies.

Celebrating more than 20 years of service with the firm, Ms. Bitterman is a frequent lecturer on regulatory and federal laws that impact the debt collection industry, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (BCFP).

Ms. Bitterman has been selected as an Ohio Rising Star, and is AV® Preeminent™ Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, its highest available rating for legal ability and professional ethics. She was appointed and is currently serving on the 2017-2021 Member Attorneys Program (MAP) Committee to the Board of Directors of ACA International. She also serves on the Board of Visitors of The Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Ms. Bitterman is currently an elected representative on the Council of Delegates for the Ohio State Bar Association and has previously served in that role for ACA International (MAP). She is also a member of the Compliance Professionals Forum, and serves on the Joint Bar Admissions Committee and Appeals Subcommittee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
