Michael P. Herzoff, Esq.

Michael P. Herzoff handles complex litigation matters for the Litigation & Defense Practice Group and is based in the Detroit office. Mr. Herzoff earned his B.B.A. with honors from Michigan State University in 1984, and his J.D. with honors from DePaul University College of Law in 1988. Mr. Herzoff has more than 25 years of experience practicing commercial and civil litigation in the state, federal and bankruptcy courts, with heavy emphasis in the creditors’ rights arena. He has succeeded in collecting on high profile judgments, and in defending lenders in complex liability matters. Mr. Herzoff also specializes in the recovery of fraudulently transferred and/or hidden assets.

Mr. Herzoff is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association (Eastern District of Michigan). He is licensed in the State Courts of Michigan and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court (Eastern & Western Districts of Michigan), the United States Bankruptcy Court (Eastern & Western Districts of Michigan), the U.S. Court of Appeals (Sixth Circuit) and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Mr. Herzoff is a member of the Case Evaluation Panels for the Oakland County Circuit Court and the 48th District Court. He is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, a testament to the highest level of professional excellence as rated by peers. Mr. Herzoff was also selected for inclusion in the 2010 Top Lawyers in Metro Detroit list by Best Lawyers as published in DBusiness.
