Weltman's Sara Donnersbach Receives March of Dimes FDR Community Leadership Award

November 13, 2012      |      Sara M. Costanzo, Esq.

Weltman Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA (Weltman) congratulates Sara M. Donnersbach, a partner in the firm's Cleveland office, for being awarded the Ohio March of Dimes Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) Community Leadership Award. The award was presented during the 22nd annual Cleveland Signature Chef’s Auction fundraiser at "Windows on the River" in Cleveland on November 12, 2012.

Ms. Donnersbach, who served on the planning committee for the event, was recognized for her outstanding dedication, volunteerism and exemplary service in the community to support the mission of the March of Dimes.  While volunteering for the Northeast Ohio Division of the March of Dimes over the course of 15 years, she has not only been a board member, but is a past president of the Board of Directors, past event chairperson for the Signature Chef’s event, and Walk Team Captain for Weltman's annual March for Babies campaigns throughout the firm's 10-office/5-state region.

"I am honored to be recognized by the March of Dimes with this award," explained Sara, who is the second Weltman Partner to receive this award (Senior Partner Bob Weltman has also been a recipient).  “The mission of the March of Dimes, to prevent birth defects, stop infant death and eliminate pre-term births, is something we should all strive to achieve. With a large family, seven nieces/nephews—all of whom are healthy—it makes all the difference to work for my friends, family and co-workers to ensure they too are blessed with healthy full-term babies.”

The March of Dimes, through programs and services in communities across Ohio, promotes healthy pregnancies and babies, working to prevent premature birth and birth defects, as well as helping to educate moms and support families in need.  The 22nd Annual Cleveland Signature Chef's Auction showcased the culinary talents of local chefs, while raising money to support the March of Dimes and its mission.  The evening was filled with bidding on a unique assortment of live and silent auction packages, including experiences with the evening's chefs, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, entertainment and travel, and a special Fund the Mission auction.  For more information about the March of Dimes, visit their website at http://www.marchofdimes.com.
