Weltman Welcomes New Attorney in Chicago

Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA (Weltman), the nation's largest creditors' rights law firm based on revenue and placements according to Collections & Credit Risk magazine, is pleased to welcome new associate attorney, Casey Brooke Hicks.

Casey is an attorney practicing in the Real Estate Default Group located in the firm's Chicago, Illinois office. She joins us with several years of experience as a lead attorney handling bankruptcy, collection, eviction, housing court and foreclosure matters. Casey earned her B.A. in Political Science and Law & Society from Purdue University in 2003 and a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 2006. A member of the Illinois State Bar and Chicago Bar Associations, Casey is licensed in Illinois and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court (Northern District of Illinois).

Casey was a member of the Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Honor Society and a recipient of the Gamma Phi Beta Scholarship while at Purdue, and during law school she was a recipient of the Predatory Home Lending Scholarship (Fall 2005), participated in the Herzog Intraschool Moot Court Competition with the top 1/3 oral score, and a member of the Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council. She has been recognized for successfully defending an insurance company in a lawsuit for breach of contract and estoppel (case featured in The Title Insurance Newsletter, June 2012). Furthermore, Casey is an avid runner who participates in several races each year and actively supports the American Lung Association.
