Weltman's Jim Kozelek is New Vice Chair of the Board for First Service Federal Credit Union

Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA (Weltman), an Ohio based firm specializing in creditors' rights, announces Partner Jim Kozelek as Vice Chair of the Board for First Service Federal Credit Union. Effective February 26, 2015, Jim will serve a one year term as second in command of the board.

Serving on the Board of Directors since June 2006, Jim assists the board with their primary responsibility of corporate governance. Meeting formally once a month and informally as needed, they work to ensure the credit union follows regulations, maintains compliance with state and federal laws, and ensures proper controls are in place for management and staff. They develop strategic policies and directives, provide compliance direction and manage any conflicts that may arise.

As a Partner who manages Weltman's Grove City office, Jim practices in Commercial Collections with a focus on arbitration. He earned his B.A. in English from The Ohio State University in 1997 and his J.D. cum laude and Order of the Curia from Capital University Law School in 2001. Jim is licensed in Ohio and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court (Southern District of Ohio) and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. He is a member of the American, Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations, as well as the Commercial Law League of America (Midwest Section Officer - Chair and Creditors' Rights Section Executive Council) and the Columbus Bar Foundation (Fellow).
